Jacksonville's Historical Sites

Ponce de Leon sought the "Fountain of Youth" in Florida, looking for the magic that would guarantee man eternal youth.   Although he failed in his mission, Florida is still a place whose siren song attracts millions of people seeking the fountain of youth in the sunbaked sands and the mild breezes of the Florida climate. 

Florida, however, is much more than a beautiful playland.   It is a state of contrasts, reflected in the diversity of its history and of its people.
