THE LIBERTY BELL!

There are many stories associated with the Liberty Bell which hangs in Liberty Hall in Philadelphia's Center City.  None of these, however, are as fascinating as the truth. Read about the history behind the bell and then be prepared to answer a few questions.

1.  Why do you think the Liberty Bell has become a symbol of freedom in the United States?

2.  The crack on the Liberty Bell has slowly become representative of something other that itself.  What does the crack represent to the country and why do you think that?
