Searching for the right college is a new experience for you and most likely your parents. How should you begin your search?
Here are a list of questions that you need to ask yourself to help you create a list of possible college choices.
1. What will be my major?
If you are unsure, narrow it down to 3 possibilities.
2. Will I live there or at home?
This will narrow down your choices.
3. I want to live away from home, but how far am I willing to go?
If you don't care how far, then the world could be your limit. If you don't want to be any farther than a day's or half day's drive, there would be no sense in looking at colleges in California.
4. What can my family and I afford?
College expenses vary, so unless you are at the top of your class and have a
possibility at a merit scholarship, or a star athletic that could have a chance
at an athletic scholarship, cost is a factor that you need to consider.

to read some articles on financial aid and begin to calculate approximately how much college will
cost.
