The Interview
Practice your interview with a friend. Have your friend ask you some of the typical questions that are listed on this website. Practice asking the questions that you have prepared for the interviewer. You can even tape your interview to hear how you sound. Pay special attention to your diction ( how you pronounce the words), you speed in speaking, and your body language.
Double
check all of your documents. You should bring several copies of you
resume and references. There might be more than one interviewer and there
may be many people involved in the decision of new hires. Your chances
will increase if everyone involved has the pertinent information in front of
them. If you have a work portfolio, make sure that it is up to date and bring
that also.
Bring a pen and notebook to record information that you need to remember, but do
not take notes during the interview.
Dress for Success. For most jobs, dressing on the conservative side is the best advice.
