The house pictured above is to be roofed with new shingles.
To estimate the area of the roof, we need to know the area of the two sides. ( front &
back)
Because of its unique saltbox design, each of the two
sections is a simple but different rectangle.

The front section measures 38 ft. by 10ft.
The rear section is a bit larger measuring 38 ft by 16 ft.
