FLORENCE

Imagine looking down at Florence from gardens high above the city!

This is the facade (front wall) of the Cathedral  (Duomo) in Florence. It is relatively new, having been designed in the late 1800's.  The Cathedral itself was begun at the end of the 13th century and took about six hundred years to complete. dome facade2.jpg (21199 bytes)
